Four go-karts were stolen from Polson Pier overnight before four young men took them for a joyride, according to police.
Police have not yet said if the four young men stole the go-karts or took them for a ride upon finding them.
One of the karts was found near Parliament Street and Queen's Quay Boulevard while three others were recovered at Sugar Beach.
Bob Clark, co-owner of Go-Karts at Polson Pier, said police woke him at 3:30 a.m. with a call telling him there had been a break-in and they'd tracked a number of young men on go-karts along Queen's Quay.
"There appears to be four go-karts that were taken, with very little damage done," Clark said. "It's fortunate for the young fellows that were driving the go-karts, driving go-karts on the street — especially at night — is particularly dangerous."
Clark said the four teenagers also left their bikes at the go-kart site.
The karts can travel at 40 km/h.
"It will force us to update our security a little, more cameras, more lights, better locks," Clark said.
